58 consecutive saves without allowing a 3rd period goal in last 6 games
The Sabres announced that Ukka-Pekka Luukkonen will be their starting goaltender in Game 4. In his one appearance against the Habs this season, Luukkonen made 32 saves on 34 shots as he led the Sabres to a 4-2 victory on January 22nd. Although he struggled mightily in his previous 3 starts vs. the Canadiens, posting an .806 save percentage and allowing 13 goals in those 3 meetings. On top of that, Luukkonen has just a .825 save percentage and 4.19 GAA in 2 playoff games thus far. With that being said, he will need to prove that he can be better and be that goaltender who held on against a hungry Habs team in January.

“Obviously [we’re expecting] a big response. It’s tough to win three games in a row. We’re going to get a bit of a different team tonight,” shared Joe Veleno, who picked up his first career NHL playoff point on Sunday night. “We’re going to expect a bit of a different game. They’re going to make some adjustments and so are we. We’re all looking to get better, improve, and adapt to one another.”
